FRIENDSHIP THERAPY

Do you value a friendship with someone that is very close to you?

For the most part, are you able to say there are more good days than bad? Well, if this is the case for you, you will do whatever it takes to repair minor hiccups. Although, it is not considered common, if a person really wants to make things work- perhaps therapy should be the next step.

Communication is just as important within a friendship, as it is to a intimate relationship. When the two start to bump heads, are you the type to avoid the situation, or do you tackle the situation first at hand?

Either decision does not make you a bad friend, improvements may need to be made in order to open that communication, trust and honesty.

Friendship must never be buried under the weight of misunderstanding. – Sri Chinmoy

TAKE A STEP BACK AND ANALYZE:

Recognizing you are in conflict can trigger intense emotions, and compulsive behavior typically isn’t helpful. Instead, take a moment to reflect on your friendship.

A friendship doesn’t begin with the hope that it will end. We invest time, energy, and compassion without the suspicion that our efforts could ultimately be futile.

If you feel as though, you are at a standstill within a friendship, counseling may be the right fit for you. A great place to start is at Star Point Counseling center located in Tampa, FL & Brandon, FL.
